Spoken to Sheila tonight on the way back from Wimbledon. Obviously not managed to get Sonny yet as it is going to be a slow process but one of the rangers managed to get Sonny to eat a few treats when he saw him. Not close enough to be touched or caught yet but hopefully with time and a gentle approach he may get closer.
At the moment he is in a fairly safe area and there is a house (whose owner is being very helpful and sensible) where Dot has left a cage with familiar bedding and a little food.
Fingers crossed he'll be home soon.

Just back from Wimbledon in the area Sonny was last sighted. Sadly we were unable to find him but the ranger was very good and the man who had sighted Sonny today had also given him some treats cheers Not enough to get hold of Sonny but will continue to go to where he was and hopefully carry on gaining his trust enough to get a hold of him

From Dot & Dave
To all those wishing the safe return of Sonny Dot and Dave say a big thank you , to those wishing to go and help the advise given at present is to wait and see if the man can help with Sonny and he will contact Dot & Dave straight away .

He did not respond to Dot or myself calling and Dot had one of her dogs with her so it is felt that best not to have too many at present in case he spooks further .
Saturday & Sunday Dot , Mary & Colin were also an the common  looking and putting out posters and talking to all dog walkers .
With so many now aware hopefully a positive outcome soon .

Thanks for the update Sheila - a long day for you looking at the time you were posting.

It's heartening that he has been sighted and accepted food, although from a distance.

With all this fabulous help from people let's hope he is soon back home

Sheila was able to catch us before we left for Wimbledon and we have taken her advice and will now stay at home.  Hoping and praying that he will be home soon.

Sonny had been sighted in very rough undergrowth away from the main part of the common .
The advise given by those that are used to searching for lost dogs ( especially Shelties) is not to overcrowd the search as it could force the dog to go further . A softly , slowly approach was advised.

Dot & Dave do however appreciate all the support given and offered.
For those that know them will know Dot does not do computers very well so has asked me to keep you all updated.

Please everyone keep those positive thoughts going and hopefully some good news very soon
