Blue merle Sheltie lost near Peterborough

Post by Shelridge on Thu 08 Jan 2015, 17:58

"ALERT Missing Sheltie Holme Woods Near Peterborough Blue merle neutered male about 7.30am yesterday, people been searching all yesterday and today .Not particularly nervous answers to William micro chipped did not run off wandered Tel 01733 844 123."

William is about 11 years old.  He went missing not far from a railway line which is worrying.  If sighted please phone Sue Robinson on the above number, or Lloyd Perkins on 01733 553218. I think it has just been posted on Doglost.

Thanks  Claire.  Glad we managed to get him on to Doglost.  I don't have a photo of William but have sent a couple of Grady (his dad I think) and tried to get a message to Sue.

We've spent most of the day over there but sadly no sign of William. The worry is that Holme Woods are a 1500 hectare site crisscrossed with tracks and dykes and with thick undergrowth even at this time of year. Williams owner feels he may have made it back to the road as he doesn't like the wet and mud on his feet. From there he could be anywhere but at 11/12 and apparently a 'funny old chap', (sound like my boy!!) we just somehow don't think he'll be that far away.  We'll go back over the W/E and if anyone who's not too far away wants to have a lovely walk and help look for him at the same time I'm sure it would be appreciated.  Stay safe little man  crying

Really sorry to report that William's body has been found on the railway line.  Such a sad result.  Run to the bridge William and join your beloved Ann.
