Update on Willie.  We have an appointment to see little willie on Saturday.  We will be interviewed and meet him.  We can then reserve him if we are happy. They could have seen us in the week but Phil is working.  They are happy to let us go on our own and a volunteer will bring him to meet the dogs and do a home check.  We then have to go back to have the final interview and collect him.  The adoption officer has asked if she can do the home check but they can't spare her for the whole day.  She said she had tried but it couldn't happen.  At least we don't have to take the dogs so may go on the train.
Things are moving slowly forward.

white flag I hope everything goes well for little Willie  and he can soon join a foreverhome and be loved and a smart well groomed coat.
All the best wishes coming your way during this week  and thinking of your own dogs as they are joined by a sheltie brother.

Tomorrows the day we get to meet Willie.  Three hours train journey each way and about an hour at the rescue!  He is not on their web site as we have first refusal.  Apparently he is very light so not needing a diet, which is unusual for us.  Most come to us overweight.

Hoping to get some photos and will try to post when we get back.

Fingers crossed all goes well.

Carolyn.

We have met him and taken him for a short walk.  The interview was painless as they had all the details on a lengthy email I sent.  We were told we would make excellent adopters and they are happy for us to have him.  We have a volunteer bringing Willie to meet the dogs  and do a home check on Wednesday then we can collect him next Saturday.

He is the sweetest little dog.  He prefered Phil to me, so he has either been harshly treated by a woman or been owned by a man.  He came round in the end with some chicken treats!  We took him for a short walk and he watched Phil all the time.  He has been shaven as his coat was so matted.  He has leggings and a little mane, looks just like a pup.  Their vet reckons he is between 7 and 9 years.  They were a lovely rescue all very friendly and so pleased for us.  He had 4 teeth out and has a 'moderate' heart murmur not currently needing medication.

A really lovely day and the train journeys all went to plan.

Will try and post photos.
