I have found the details about this lost sheltie have been a bit confusing. In the first instance the area was referred to as "Lincolnshire" and then later as "East Anglia"

I now am aware it is Lincolnshire.

Going to contact the breeder and offer to go and help to look tomorrow. Quite a distance from us but would like to think if it were one of ours people would help.

Any takers?

Yes, Malcolm Hart is fully aware and has been out almost daily searching. We have been over a couple of times, and Dawn and Les also.

Because of the area she is being sighted in, the task is almost impossible. It is just so isolated and inaccessible by car.

Her breeder has now bought a fox trap and taken it to the area. A local farmer was prepared to set the trap up and monitor it. However, today news has come in of a good reliable sighting from a gamekeeper in the next village (Nocton) He at first thought it was a fox but then realised it was a "Lassie" type dog.

So when he returns to work on Monday the trap is being relocated to where he saw her

This whole situation is getting so frustrating. Just wish one of the "Sheltie" people could get a definite sighting.

Hope this new sighting gives a positive outcome. It is so frustrating when they keep running away. We had that when Delboy escaped from our daughter's house. He was obviously trying to get home to the bitches in season but when he saw us he still turned and run the other way

The trouble is, the sightings don't reach any of the "Sheltie" people quickly enough.
By the time we hear about them best part of a week has passed and she could have traveled several miles further.

Still I suppose at least while there are sightings it is positive

The latest is that the police telephoned the breeder this morning, and left a message on her answerphone to say that he (The policeman) had seen Poppy at a local potato factory. This actually is about equidistant (There's a big word mocking) from where she was seen in the first place and where she was seen last week.

So now, we don't know which way she is travelling.

There have been one or two sightings again. The latest news is that a chap called Ray (Sorry don't know his surname) who was instrumental with Sandy Tinker in catching Spencer, the tricolour who escaped his new owners car at the service station on the M5 a few years back. Apparently this man is brilliant at catching escapees.
Anyway my understanding is that he has placed the trap the breeder purchased and also a couple of his own in strategic places. They are not as yet, set to catch Poppy, but have food in them and a drag of food has been done in the fields leading to the trap. Hope this makes sense.
Once he is sure she is going to one of the traps, I understand he then sets them and sits nearby until she goes in.
For obvious reasons he does not want many people knowing the exact location of the traps.
So let's keep our fingers crossed.
At least it is promising that she is STILL being sighted.
