i have asked Doglost if there are any more pics and also, any details from the out of date micro chip that we may be able to help trace the owner .

Yes, I was surprised they hadn't been able to find out more from the microchip - it must be a starting point .....

At least he's out of the elements

Ive been comparing pics of cooper to this found boy - really dont think it could be him cath - the found boy seems to have a touch of white down one side of his neck and cooper does not cheers

not that cooper could be 'lost ' Wink - but it was a long shot - their heads are very similar Very Happy

Yes, i find it odd that they can not trace an owner with the chip, but I dont know too much about how chips work .

I have just phoned the tel no given on the found poster - it went to answer machine - maybe they will return my call - it is the tel no for Rugby Paw prints - looked them up on google and it seems they are a charity that take in pound dogs etc and rehome them .

How can a micro chip be Out of Date ?? It must have some details

Think the Kennel Club should have a datebase of ALL chipped dogs wether pedigree or heinz. In this day & age of modern technology it must be possible.

Cath - I know its a long shot, but worth checking as they do look so similar in the pics and now it has been reported that the found dog has been seen regularly walked by an older gentleman in the area .

Hmmm? OK thanks Nina, I have left a message on his answerphone but as yet he hasn't returned my call. I didn't recognise the dog as being Cooper though.

No I haven't Nina sorry. I have left a message but I think he is actually away if I remember rightly from a conversation I had with him a few weeks ago. There is a message on Doglost saying that when a call was made to the kennel they weren't sure if it was a girl or boy bit of a mystery.

I have just sent pics of the found dog to the previous owner of the dog that was rehomed to Cath's friend - and they said it is NOT the same dog - was worth a try though as they look so similar thinking

Thankyou for letting me know Nina and thankyou for all your trouble ~ I have been trying desperately to find the owner of Cooper that we re-homed but he is on holiday. I so hope that the owners of this little chap are found very soon. Breaks my heart, bless him..

Cath - I knew it was a very long shot that it may have been the same dog and it was worth checking it out .

Its very odd how no one has claimed the found dog - he looks well cared for too thinking
